Lift Rental Requirements for Larger Units
For any building unit that is between 32' to 60' wide or has a height of 15' or more, Southern Metal Garages requires the use of a 6k-7k Lull/Telescopic Forklift (Telehandler) to safely complete the installation. This equipment must be rented by the customer but will be operated by our crew chief on-site.
We recommend contacting a local equipment rental company in advance to check pricing and availability. Based on our experience, renting the lift for a full week is often more cost-effective than paying a daily rate, especially if there's a risk of weather delays. A weekly rental also provides flexibility in case the install is rescheduled or extended due to unforeseen circumstances.
